Harry Potter and other Stuff
Well I finally stopped by the bookstore to be the 2,776,938th person to get the big new Harry Potter novel. I have a book that I'm finishing right now which actually has more pages than this one, but I wanted to get a copy before they were on the 12th edition. I wonder what the Phoenix is, or why it has an order,

or if I'll ever learn how to spell Hermoine. Is the Order of the Phoenix something we're waiting to be fulfilled, like "I can't wait until my order for a Phoenix comes in the mail?" Or is it the opposite of the Chaotic Pheonix? There's few things worse than chaotic pheonixes.
The cops had a slow night tonight during law and order. I was hoping for a big pile
of snappy one-liners to distract me from missing the grand opening of Heinen's the new grocery store by us. Now they'll probably be sold out of everything tomorrow, and what'll we feed Krista and Matt when they get here on Saturday?
Dad, you made me hungry for walleye. Maybe we'll have to show up at Great Lakes soon for some walleye bites. I could probably go fishing anywhere in Portage County, Ohio, which is east of here. Large parts of the county are still underwater.
In useless news, I finally switched from the 2-blade Sensor Excel razor to the 3 blade Mach-3 turbo. I've been afraid of that ever since the Mad-TV episode where they had a parody of the Mach 3 commercial, where the 3rd blade continues to cut through your flesh and you need to get bandaged up every morning, but at least you have no facial hair. Why do they need to call it the Mach 3 turbo anyway? 3 times the speed of sound isn't fast enough, so you have to add turbo to that? What do you get? Mach 4 (at 6,000rpms?!?)
A lot of folks have been criticizing Cedar Point and the ride manufacture, Itamin, for having trouble getting their new roller coaster, Top Thrill Dragster fully operational. I couldn't begin to find fault with them since I can't even keep my office park rides operational. Tonight when I was working late, I was running the ferris wheel and the coaster full-throttle, figuring that at least the plastic people could be having fun, but after about 20 minutes, the gear on the ferris wheel slipped so it stopped turning, and the roller coaster train stopped being able to make a full circuit and rolls back on the final hill. I'll have to call in the maintenance workers.
Comments
I am afraid to touch the issue of "Ordering a Phoenix". I would not know what to to with it. I now think that I should start reading Harry Porter. I am therefore 5 volumes behind schedule. I hope to start soon.

Rob, Emily's already read the entire book. You can always just give her a call and get the cliff notes if you like!!

Hey David, that might be a good idea. Not only would I get through the book that much more quickly, I'd also find out if I am pronouncing any of the character's names wrong -hehe.
